12-25-2013 Virginia:

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Police have identified two homicide victims found at an Oceanfront hotel last week.

According to James Cason with the Virginia Beach Police Department, the bodies were discovered in a fifth-floor room Thursday by a housekeeping employee at the Comfort Inn in the 2300 block of Atlantic Avenue.

Monday, police identified the victims as 31-year-old Lenny McDannell, of New Castle, Delaware, and 32-year-old Joshua Zettles of Virginia Beach.

Before Zettles went down to the Oceanfront hotel, he spoke with his sister Jackie, who did not want her last name revealed.

"The last time I saw him was earlier [Thursday] afternoon," said Jackie. "We were making plans to get together the following day as a family."

Jackie said Zettles was going to the Oceanfront to see his friend, McDannell, who is a registered sex offender in Delaware.

10 On Your Side could not get in contact with McDannell's family.

Jackie did not find out that Zettles was dead until Friday, after he had missed work.

"It was very shocking and many of his family and friends are really still in shock," she said.

In a YouTube video online, Zettles spoke of his nine years in prison. His family would not comment on that, only that Zettles was getting his life together.

Virginia Beach police are not saying which man checked into the room or how they died.

Zettles leaves behind a teenage son and a family who want justice.

"I am still in shock, I'm still numb, still going through the grieving process," said Stephanie, the mother of Zettle's son.

Comfort Inn corporate officials did not want to comment on the case last week.

The case remains under investigation. ..Source.. by Lauren Compton

Its sad how you guys make them out to be terrible people. Josh would give his shirt off his back. The main thing the police should be concerned that two men were murdered in the town you live in. I would never go there. It cant be that hard to figure out. The hotel said they have cameras. This person or people are still on the streets. Thats crazy. I love you joshua your always in my heart. Just do your job.
